Today the yellow flock made their way from the back yard area to the south pasture, where the cows had been kept over the winter.

The A-frame chicken tractor (built from plans from Green Willow Homestead) was rolled out to the south pasture to start grazing on newly growing grass and insects emerging from the cow patties. They will continue to follow a few days behind the cows around the entire west pasture and eventually to the north pasture.
They are protected from predators with an electric net from Kencove Farm Fencing Supplies.
