A New Year at the Market

Updated: Feb 12

This was our first week back at the Lampasas County Farmer’s Market for 2025. Our new marketing director (our daughter) has revamped our booth with custom table cloth and better signage!

This week we took another 20+ dozen eggs and 7 broilers. Even with egg prices going up at the grocery store, we have been able to keep our prices steady at $5 per dozen. We are also selling the Cornish Cross broilers for $4/pound, with the average weight being about 5 lbs. For our next batch of broilers, we plan to have some smaller Cornish hens.

This week again we sold out of eggs, but only sold 5 broilers. We have noticed that we are starting to build up a following, and to see repeat customers.

Look for us at the Lampasas County Farmer’s Market held at the Lampasas County Courthouse, every Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

Frozen chicken is back on the menu, boys!

Hi all. We started processing our latest set of meat birds. Currently we have 3 to 4 pounders in stock. Over the next two weeks we will process more and have heavier birds.
