New Flock

Since our original chicken flock had stopped laying and mostly became stew chickens (most still in the freezer), we had to purchase a new flock. We ordered 20 chickens from Ideal Poultry in Cameron, TX.

Since this writing, we’ve lost one when the others crushed it to death, and one Easter Egger emerged as a rooster! We’ve since designated this the “yellow flock”.
