From Bust to Boom

Updated: Feb 12

Once the Christmas season came around, all our chickens stopped laying! We were down to as little as 6 eggs per day from our 40 layers and started to get worried that we would not have enough eggs to take to the Lampasas County Farmer’s Market coming up.

But then the days started to get longer, and the weather got a little warmer, and the all of a sudden…bam! We are now getting around 30 eggs per day.

Let’s hope that the market for eggs will be good once February rolls around and we are able to go to market.

Frozen chicken is back on the menu, boys!

Hi all. We started processing our latest set of meat birds. Currently we have 3 to 4 pounders in stock. Over the next two weeks we will process more and have heavier birds.
