Adding Broilers to The Mix

In anticipation of starting to go to the Lampasas Farmer’s Market, we got a batch of 20 Cornish Cross broilers to raise and be able to sell.

The first problem we had with this group is that somehow they were delivered to a Tractor Supply in Austin. Fortunately we were headed to Austin that day so we were able to pick them up.

The second problem is that somebody (me) left the cover off the brooder, which allowed a predator to get the poor chicks. By the time it was said and done we were down to 9.

Looking forward to processing these ladies so we can see how they will sell.
